Press Release Hitachi Ltd., one of the world’s leading technology corporations, has appointed Mr. Nguyen Ba Quynh to the Regional Executive Council (REC) for APAC and India.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Quynh currently serves as Senior Vice President, overseeing the APAC and Japan Markets, as well as the General Director of the Vietnam Delivery Center at Hitachi Digital Services (HitachiDS). In this additional responsibility, he will contribute significantly to defining and executing strategic initiatives across the APAC and India region.

The newly formed APAC/India REC will play a crucial role in shaping the regional strategy and driving growth through One-Hitachi initiatives. This strategic development is a part of Hitachi’s Mid-term Management Plan through FY27 (MMP27) strategy and aligns with broader vision, led by President and CEO Toshiaki Tokunaga, to foster a “True One Hitachi” with Digital at its Core. The APAC/India REC will be composed of prominent business leaders from Hitachi Ltd., Hitachi Asia, Hitachi Korea, Hitachi Energy, Hitachi Australia, Hitachi India, HitachiDS, and various Hitachi Business Units such as Railway, CI Sector, SSIB, and Global Logic.

In this new role, Mr. Quynh will represent HitachiDS in driving business opportunities, leading special initiatives, and influencing key decisions related to the APAC/ India region. He will also play a pivotal role in defining direction, objectives, and plans for HitachiDS’s regional expansion.

Mr. Quynh’s appointment marks a significant milestone for VDC team, reflecting their growing influence and capabilities within the global organization. His proven leadership has been instrumental in fostering innovation and driving growth within the APAC/India region, paving the way for the talented Vietnamese team to contribute more significantly to Hitachi’s global initiatives.

Mr. Quynh hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Telecommunication Management from the Franco – Polish School of New Information & Communication Technologies in Poland and an MBA from the University of Hawaii, Shidler College of International Business, USA. With over 25 years of experience in general management and services management within the IT industry, Mr. Quynh has held prominent positions in multinational corporations such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, and Schneider Electric.
