Hitachi, Ltd. has announced its intent to integrate its U.S. subsidiaries, GlobalLogic Inc. (“GlobalLogic”) and Hitachi Digital Services LLC (“Hitachi Digital Services”) to strengthen its digital services capabilities and accelerate the global growth of Lumada 3.0, the company’s strategic initiative for digital transformation. The integration aims to build a robust digital business organization with end-to-end expertise across the digital transformation lifecycle — from strategy and design through development and run operations — and enhanced ability to integrate advanced technologies such as AI into mission-critical systems.
The operational integration is expected to begin in April 2026, led by Srini Shankar, President & CEO of GlobalLogic. By combining GlobalLogic’s strengths in product strategy, software engineering, and AI with Hitachi Digital Services’ capabilities in cloud modernization, reliability engineering, and managed operations, the new organization will address evolving client needs for scalable, resilient digital solutions across key industries including mobility, energy, and industrial.
The integrated organization will also support the development of a unified AI Factory, leveraging offerings such as GlobalLogic’s VelocityAI and Hitachi Digital Services’ HARC, and deepen collaboration across the Hitachi Group to drive innovation and value for clients and society. This effort aligns with Hitachi’s Inspire 2027 management plan and its broader Social Innovation goals.
