Challenge

The US division of a global automotive manufacturer has long seen value in providing a personalized experience to its customers throughout their shop–buy–own journey. A holistic approach demands a single source for relevant, personalized data relating to the vehicle, the brand, owner benefits, and more, to enhance the customer experience and foster brand loyalty.  

 

The company selected Hitachi Digital Services as a strategic partner to build its Owners Platform, a platform that would support a number of the manufacturer’s vehicle brands. 

Solution

Hitachi Digital Services designed and implemented the Owners Platform for three key brands.  The platform aggregated utilitarian and community features such as login, forums, groups, search, content management, and document management.  

 

It gave owners a unified view of their vehicles, including access to manuals, safety campaigns, service information, dealer details, and a timeline feature that brought together past, current, and future milestones.

 

Hitachi Digital Services also designed and developed a mobile app for vehicle owners. Built in Xamarin for cross-platform functionality, the app is fully responsive across multiple devices and tablets. A configurable, tile-based user interface and push alerts for service reminders and relevant content drive engagement.
